The Ballad of Mount Thomas

There's a little town with a high crime rate
And it's bout this town I will narrate
So find yourself a comfy chair and rest your weight
And you'll hear about some cops and their every trait.

We'll begin with the golden 'girlie', the infamous Maggie Doyle
Who turned up in Mount Thomas to learn just how to toil
And toil hard she did, and the villains plans did foil
And now she's got more followers than the most-popular royal.

Then comes her little lover-boy, a tall, dark and handsome bloke
Detective PJ Hasham, who knows how to tell a joke.
Head over heels he fell - his feelings she did evoke
And now they're hiding it from the other station folk.

Next comes Tom, who the young'uns call Boss without respect
He tries to discipline them, without much effect.
When he confronted an angry Adam he was decked
And he went to Sally for comfort... well, what else can you expect?

Young Deidre McKinley, who responds only to Dash
was the latest constable to arrive, and rumours she did quash
She joined the force to protect the innocent (and earn some extra cash)
And trained Adam to come running at the batting of an eyelash.

This Adam Cooper soon became the show's littler spunk
Even Chris the publican decided he was a hunk
And although he pined for Dash, don't think he was a monk
But it's nice to know Dash stood by him, through all that Stacey-junk!

And now to Nick, our recently departed mate
With a real policeman he did often equate
His shy personality made him scared to ask out a date
But he found his soulmate with Zoe, with whom his spongecake he ate.

And last comes Ben, who I know not well
As he only just came aboard, and for Maggie he fell
Alas for him, already taken was this belle
And he's done very little since for me to tell.

So now this ballad must come to a close
And I can only assume that you've started to doze
But please do be kind and prove you're not foes
and send me some feedback as nice as it goes :)
